Tom Prasada-Rao: OM
Today I give thanks for waking up - breathing, seeing, and walking. My mantra is tattooed on the inside of my left arm so I can see it every time I play the guitar: gitanjali - the gift of a song. How often do I take the blessings all around me for granted? As I grow older I care less about the music business than I probably should. I care more about life as poetry, trying to play like there are no wrong notes anymore.
It's been 10 years since I've released a solo album and 4 since I quit the road. I've been producing albums since then - if you're thinking about recording a new album the door is open. I'm booking shows and house concerts again - constantly writing ... Some big news: I am featured on the nationally syndicated TV show - Troubadour Texas. (Look for episode 15) I'm thrilled that my new CD will be debuted at Kerrville May 27, 2012.
Please drop me a line through my guestbook, feel free to listen to songs on the jukebox (top of this screen) - and please add your name to my list so we can keep in touch (bottom left of this page).
My Grandfather passed away in March of 2009 at the age of 102. The walking man didn't die of old age, but was the victim of a hit and run while out on one of his daily walks. I shaved my head in remembrance, to honor the greatest person I have ever known, and I resolve to live a life worthy of him. Namaste' TPR
