Watch now how I start the day in happiness, in kindness!
Today I give thanks for waking up - breathing, seeing, and walking. My mantra is tattooed on the inside of my left arm so I can see it every time I play the guitar: gitanjali - the gift of a song. How often do I take the blessings all around me for granted? As I grow older I care less about the music business than I probably should. I care more about life as poetry, trying to play like there are no wrong notes anymore. Last night as I was sleeping, I dreamt, marvelous error! That a spring was breaking out in my heart ... It's been 10 years since I've released a solo album and 4 since I quit the road. I've been producing albums since then - if you're thinking about recording a new album the door is open. I'm booking shows and house concerts again - constantly writing ... Some big news: I am featured on the nationally syndicated TV show - Troubadour Texas. (Look for episode 15) I'm thrilled that my new CD will be debuted at Kerrville May 27, 2012. My Grandfather passed away in March of 2009 at the age of 102. The walking man didn't die of old age, but was the victim of a hit and run while out on one of his daily walks. I shaved my head in remembrance, to honor the greatest person I have ever known, and I resolve to live a life worthy of him.
